What a week it has been… all the dodging, running and kicking has shot our adrenaline levels like crazy! Raise your hands if you cheered Bheem in all his Kung Fu glory. Racing through the land of dragon and mastering the ancient art, Chhota Bheem clad in traditional chinese attire celebrated his birthday with the blessings of the dragon. The gang of Dholakpur landed up in China only to experience delicious food, exhilarating views and new adventures.

It was refreshing to see Bheem in a new avatar and although he wins every fight easily against his regular opponents like Kalia, it was enthralling to see Bheem win by not just strength, but by learning to outsmart his new opponents, seems unlikely? Read ahead.

Kung Fu is an ancient ‘martial art’ meaning any practice or skill that takes a certain amount of time, patience and a lot of discipline in mastering. The fast blows and kicks at the opponent require presence of mind and agility of thought. The art actually trains mind and body to be cohesive enough, sharpening the brain to an extent that it can be used to disarm the opponent with grace and finesse. The legacy of the art is insurmountable, so it requires every student to master and prove their ability, and hence championships are battlegrounds where warriors showcase their ability, and the best one wins.

In the movie, Chhota Bheem Kung Fu Dhamaka, the Land of Dragon is hosting the world’s greatest championship and the best will just have to battle it out. But is it all fight and no fun? Not really. The Dholakpur gang with its tongue-in-cheek dialogues and outlandish plot lines never fails to disappoint. The comic moments of the shows are rather exemplified when the characters are faced with foreign elements that remind a child about the first time they gave a go at something unfamiliar and how their gang reacted. Just how Bheem on his birthday manages to eat chowmein, something he’s never tasted. In fact it seems far-fetched that our Bheem who loves the local delicacy of his town would manage to eat the chowmein without breaking, and in a peculiar kung fu style.

As it for news, it seems to shock and excite everyone, Pogo regularly produces such spinoffs where they transport cult favourite characters to a different settings. Such is the case for the action-packed dhamaka week of August. To maintain the thrill and last minute suspense, the ten warriors who compete against Bheem to win the title come very close to defeating him, but our brave hero defeats slowly and steadily all who stand in front of him… A plus point for him is his friends who dearly support him against all the odds. So stick by your TV set for some light-hearted fun and a lot of action.
