Courses That Can Be Seek From Top Medical Colleges In India

The Medical field is one of the best, reputed and respected professional fields in India and abroad. Medical field contains a broad range of certificate courses, medical diploma courses, bachelor degree courses, master degree courses and short time degree courses as well.

Generally people have a myth that the only course a student can pursue is MBBS or BDS but the reality is very different. Now-a-days, many courses in medical and dental stream are available which can be studied by a student.

The courses a student can pursue are:

1. M. B. B. S.

MBBS is the bachelor degree in medical field for cure & diagnose, awarded in many countries. MBBS stands for Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery

Duration- 5.5 years

2. B. D. S.

It is the first professional degree programme in dentistry. B.D.S. stands for Bachelor of Dental Surgery.

Duration- 4 years

3. B. H. M. S.

Bachelor of Homeopathic Medicine & Surgery is a degree in Homeopathic Education in India regulated by the National Institute of Homeopathy.

Duration- 5.5 years

4. B. A. M. S.

Bachelor of Ayurvedic Medicine andSurgery is a bachelor degree in Ayurvedic system of medical field. In India, the Ayurvedic Education is regulated by the Central Council of Indian Medicine (CCIM).

Duration- 5.5 years

5. B.P.T (Physiotherapy)

Candidate must have passed in 12th class or equivalent with a minimum 50% marks in physics, chemistry and biology. Physiotherapy helps the temporary disabled people in their rehabilitation.

Duration- 4.5 years

6. B.Pharma (Bachelor of Pharmacy)

Applicant must pass 12th with at least 50% marks in Pre University Course with biology as one of the compulsory subjects, or DPharma (Diploma in Pharmacy).

Duration- 4 years

7. B.Sc Nursing

In order to be eligible you must pass 10+2 with Physics, Chemistry & Biology with a minimum of 45% aggregate marks. The goal of B.Sc. Nursing programme is to prepare nurses who can function efficiently and effectively to meet the nursing needs of the people in the society

Duration: 4 years

8. B.U.M.S (Unani Medicine)

Candidate aspiring for B.U.M.S. course must have passed Intermediate (10 + 2) with Physics, Chemistry & Biology. Also, Urdu is compulsory up to 10th class or equivalent Education. Candidate must have attained minimum 17 years of age as on 31st December of the responding year.
Duration: 5.5 years

9. Lab Technicians

Aspirants of medical laboratory technology can take up courses at diploma as well as at undergraduate level. The B.Sc. programme in medical laboratory technology is offered by different medical colleges/institutions across the country. A lab technician requires 10+2 as the eligibility.

Duration: 1 year
