Ponty Chadha Foundation is a charitable wing of the Wave Group, a business conglomerate that covers all sectors of the economy. The group has diversified business activities such as breweries and distilleries, food processing, paper manufacturing, real estate, sugar mills, multiplexes and malls. The group is fully committed to its Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR). Manpreet Singh Chadha, the Vice-Chairman of the Wave Group says, Hunger, illiteracy and physical impairments are the three atrocious issues that our society is facing acutely. This stimulates a responsibility towards humanity and a thought beyond revenues”

The Foundation actively organizes health camps, free diagnostic camps and free medical checkup camps. Every health camp by Ponty Chadha Foundation is conducted as a part of CSR initiatives of the Wave Group in the rural areas of Ghaziabad and NOIDA. Through these camps, people are facilitated with the services of doctors specializing in various streams such as Cardiology, pediatrics, Orthopedics, Urology, Dermatology, Gynecology, Eyes and ENT, etc. Post checking, elementary medicines are provided free of cost to the economically disadvantaged people of the locality.

Such health camps by Ponty Chadha Foundation are organized from time to time in collaboration with the Indo-German Hospital that is staffed with experienced and specialized doctors. Till date, more than 5,200 people in the Sun City and Wave City have availed the opportunities of the health camps and have been immensely benefitted. All expenses incurred for conducting the health camps are fully borne by the Foundation.

Free medical check-ups are organized by the foundation on continuous basis so that basic health care facilities are made available to the socially and economically disadvantaged people in the locality. Special care is taken to see that, those living in the slum areas and remote areas are enabled in getting the health services, particularly, vaccination and immunization.

Last month, the Wave Group conducted organized another health camp, the ‘Swasthya Shivir’ in Dinanathpur village in Ghaziabad district. The volunteers of the foundation pay regular visits to the slum areas and ensure that the slum dwellers are kept updated about diseases and are fully aware of a hygienic and disease free environment.
