Summer Vacations with Kalari Kids!
The best part of summer? VACATIONS! Filled with the joy of reading your favorite books, gorging on your favourite ice cream flavour, playing games, swimming for hours — basically doing all those things that your normal school routine otherwise doesn’t permit you to — summer vacations are indeed a treat for all.
That said, let’s not forget that vacations can at times be boring. Doing the same things, watching the same shows, meeting the same people — it can get a little dull and monotonous. When boredom does strike, the one thing that can save you is watching something fun and exciting!
Fret not; Pogo has you covered!
With a brand new show named Kalari Kids, Pogo brings love, laughter and enjoyment to your boring days! The show revolves around the village of Kalaripuram, a tiny hamlet which preserves the ancient martial art of kalaripayattu. Teaching young ones in a fun way, it is here to make our vacations awesome again!
Kalari Kids follows the life of two competing gurukuls. At the helm are Guru Palan and Guru Veta, who also happen to be brothers, training kids from their respective gurukuls. Armed with different ideologies and teaching styles, Team Palan and Team Veta are always competing with each other!
Under Guru Palan’s training are Beenu, the leader of the group; Meena, a brilliant dancer and Guru Palan’s daughter; Shyam, the selfie-clicking charmer; and Ammu and Unni, the super cute twins. In Guru Veta’s team are Rakka, Dhaana, Langot, Lekha and Mani. Although Mani belongs to Team Veta, he never fails to show his admiration for Beenu and friends.
The village of Kalaripuram is surrounded by a thick and dense jungle, which holds many magical secrets and protects the town. As a result, while their Kalaripayattu training keeps them mighty busy, students from both teams end up doing a lot more. From participating in competitions and local festivals to exploring the mystical secrets of the jungle, Kalari Kids always have their hands full with something fun and thrilling!
