W.E.S.C. — A goal to achieve sustainability education & transform our society
With a world population of 7 billion people and limited natural resources, we, as individuals and societies need to learn to live together sustainably (UNESCO). This understanding will help us take responsibility & be extra cautious in our actions. Actions such as performing daily survival activities and reusing/preserving the natural resources we already have the opportunity to consume. It is essential to have our learnings and their consequent course of actions directed towards sustainability, as it would help us make eco-friendly living a reality for this planet. Relevant education & an eco-friendly attitude can surely make sustainable living a reality.
Today, we have many individuals and organizations who are doing significant efforts for achieving the goal of having a sustainable planet. One such noble effort is the creation of “World Environment School, Coorg” by the Mobius Foundation. A school located in the beautiful luscious green valleys of Coorg aims to become a global leader in sustainability-oriented environment education. The 3 philosophies/ themes of curriculum on which the institution is based are -

WESC is a residential school which will provide pastoral care to its students. It will operate for classes 6th to 12th and will have a large campus providing enough space for offering access to all kinds of eco-friendly activities and experience. The school will open its doors in March, 2021 and welcomes parents who wish to give their pupils an exposure to the necessary sustainability knowledge.
About Mobius Foundation — It is an initiative by Mr. Pradip Burman — a passionate environmentalist and businessman himself. The foundation operates with the motive of helping our society heal its environmental status & create a sustainable space for our future generations to live within. Under Mobius foundation, there have been some effective projects that have not just contributed in eco-friendly living but have also empowered our society through offering opportunities for education, medical help and population stabilization.
